A.I. Dillon

 

WALNUT COVE, April 12 – A. I. Dillon, 70, a retired farmer, of Route 2, Walnut
Coved died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday in Baptist
Hospital at Winston-Salem. He has been
Critically ill since Thursday. April 5 , when
he had a stroke. Born
June 30 1885, he
was native of
Stokes County. He operated
a farm near
Greensboro for about six
years. He moved to the Walnut Cove area
about 1950 and conducted a farm here.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs Lois Hill Dillon
of the home; five sons. Irvin of
Raleigh.
Roy of Greensboro, Wayne, Larry and
Jerry Dillon, all of the home; four daugh-
ters, Mrs Irene Mormile and Mrs Doris
Kupperman, both of Los Angeles, Calif.,
Mrs. Elvira Foulks of Madison, and Miss
Eloise Dillon of the home; 11 grandchildren;
four brothers. Talmadge of Winston
Salem,
Amos of
Madison, Arch of, Walnut Cover,
and Roby Dillon of
Goldsboro. Funeral
services will be held Saturday at
2:30 p.m.
in
Goshen Methodist Church at Stokesdale.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
